Dalawing launched ubislate 7+ and you can prebook ubislate 7+ from the website. Just for your information; Ubislate is a revised, commercial, non-subsidized version of Aakash tablet. The new version of this tablet is called Ubislate7+, but its price still on affordably low, only INR 2999/- .

Technical Specification:
Both 7+ and 7C more or less identical but 7+ comes with resistive screen where as 7+ has capacitive screen. Other specification which comes with low cost, largely acceptable and wonderful tablet is below:
• Microprocessor: – Cortex A8 – 800 Mhz
• Battery : – 3200 mAh
• Operating System: – Android Gingerbread2.3
• Network: – WiFi & GPRS (SIM & Phone functionality)
• Memory: 7+: 256mb RAM with 2 GB internal flash storage / 7c: 256mb RAM with 4 GB internal flash storage
• Memory expandable up to 32GB with a microSD card
• One full USB 2.0 port
• GPRS with Wi-Fi a/b/g
• Rated with 3 hours of battery life with a 3200 mAh battery
Price for ubislate 7+ tablet: Rs.2,999 (Optional Internet: Rs.98/mo.)
The device includes WiFi & GPRS connectivity allowing anytime & anywhere internet access and phone functionality. Optional 3G modems are also supported via USB. In addition to a micro-SD card slot, a full-sized USB port is integrated into the unit allowing pen-drives, external keyboards, web-cams, dongles and other inexpensive peripherals to be attached. Considering the price, you will get a good deal with Ubislate 7+ or 7C, sturdy with a matte plastic finish, feels handy. Physical body of the device is quite ergonomic to hold.
There was a recurring theme with our first hands-on of the fabled Ubislates, there seemed to be many compromises, but the price absolutely blew them away. At र2,999 for the 7+ and र3,999 for the 7C, our complaints with the devices failed to gain ground. For the price, they offer a good value-for-money proposition and it would be interesting to see how well they do in the Indian market and whether they are able to bring out a digital revolution. Consumers that have pre-booked the Ubislate 7+ should start receiving them shortly and retail availability would only start once all pre-bookings have been fulfilled. Delivery of the Ubislate 7C on the other hand will start near the end of May.

The Android 2.3 upgrade for the Ace has to come from Samsung through official channels — i.e. Samsung’s own OTA (over the air) update.
Before the official update is out, if you try to root the phone or install another version of 2.3 — the warranty will be voided. In case your phone is bricked (software damage) during the process, it will not be repaired under warranty.
To check whether the official update for the Ace is available — look in the settings for ’software update’ (in the about phone section).

Sometimes, software updates are also delivered via Kies (Samsung’s PC software). If you don’t have Kies, download and install it from www.samsung.com (support section ), and then connect the phone to the PC to check for updates.

Microsoft is considering making its own tablet PC the company is working with Texas Instruments and Taiwan-based OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) to produce the tablet. Microsoft, meanwhile, hasn’t commented on the reports.

Microsoft is reportedly considering to launch an own-brand tablet PC that features Windows 8 by the end of 2012 with cooperation from Texas Instruments and Taiwan-based OEMs/ODMs, according to sources from the upstream supply chain. However, Microsoft did not confirm the rumor.
Facing Apple’s iOS and App Store successful assistance in helping iPhone and iPad to gain shares in the smartphone, tablet PC and even PC market, while Google has also been working aggressively on developing operating systems and establishing its own supply chain alliance, Microsoft plans to copy its branding strategy from product lines such as Xbox 360, Zune, Kin smartphone and TV, to compete in the tablet PC segment.
Although Microsoft has been seeking business opportunities outside of PC-related markets and is aggressively launching own-brand products, Xbox 360 is currently the only own-brand product line that Microsoft has achieved success, while Zune media player, Kin smartphone and own-brand TVs all had unsatisfactory performance. However, Microsoft is still considering to launch an own-brand tablet PC and is proceeding on a low profile, the sources noted.
The sources pointed out that despite the plans to launch its own-brand tablet PC, Microsoft will continue to push its IDP plans for Windows 8.
As for the reaction from Microsoft’s system clients, the sources pointed out that the system vendors’ dissatisfaction with Microsoft launching own-brand tablet PCs is unlikely to impact Microsoft significantly in the short term.
