Tip 1: Drink Herbal Tea
When urges for sweets and snacks arrive, try drinking herbal teas such as apple-cinnamon, almond, or orange. The preparation of tea alone actually helps to take your mind off of junk food. The heat from the tea fills you up, and the aroma helps to satisfy your cravings.
Tip 2: Limit High Carbohydrate Foods
To maximize the fat-burning process, it’s best to gradually eliminate carbohydrates toward the end of the day. This minimizes your chances of storing fat late at night.
Tip 3: Don’t Drink Alcohol
Alcohol contains too many empty calories which ultimately produce nothing but fat.
Tip 4: Motivate Yourself
Try to find an incentive for getting in shape and burning fat. Write down your goal and put it in a location you see every day, such as your refrigerator. Motivation really keeps you going!
Tip 5: Use Low-Calorie Food Alternatives
Try to save as many calories as you can. Substitute water for soda, baked chicken for fried chicken, sub sandwiches for pizza, etc.
Tip 6: Don’t Starve Yourself
Starving only promotes a bigger “rebound” effect because your body likes to hold on from what it is deprived of. Instead, fuel the body every 2 to 3 hours with small meals.
Tip 7: Drink 1 or More Glasses of Water Before Meals
This is to help fill the stomach and give you a full feeling. It works!
Tip 8: Be Consistent
No weight loss tips will work if you don’t give them a chance. It may take a while to see results. Hang in there! Consistency is the key to effectiveness.
Tip 9: Don’t Use the Scale
Scales can be misleading. For example, if you’re losing body fat and bodyweight but gaining muscle, the scale won’t necessarily reflect the difference between the two. Instead, monitor the inches you lose. Inches never lie!

Best fat burning food
(1) White potato and Sweet potato: You can depend on white potatoes for weight loss. The healthier alternative is sweet potato which has more fiber. Although white potato does not contained enough nutrient but the fiber in sweet potato helps in reducing the quantity of food you eat. Potato lovers can swap the slice of bread with boiled potato for snacks.
(2) Banana: Fibers in banana is insoluble and does not allow quick absorption of carbohydrates. It also contains sort chain fatty acid which is good for digestive systems. Since potatoes and bananas have moderately high glycemic index, so they will recommended as mid-morning and evening snacks. You can use sliced bananas with yoghurts and oat for breakfast.
(3) Brown Rice: Mix chilled, cooked brown rice with fat-free milk, resins and cinnamon for breakfast.
(4) Corn: Boiled or roasted corn spiced with red chilies or mint powder and lemon. A good breakfast with fiber and nutrients.

1. Drink a plenty. Water hydrates your skin, improves its elasticity, hides ugly wrinkles and keeps it glowing. Enough reason to drink eight to ten glasses per day. And in case youre wondering, tea, coffee, colas, and alcohol are not adequate substitutes.
2. Eat natural. Fruits, nuts, and vegetables are rich in antioxidants. These chemical compounds are your natural defense against the free radicals that wear down your bodys cells and accelerate aging.Carotenoids (found in apricots, carrots, mangoes, papayas, sweet potatoes, spinach, and broccoli) vitamin C (found in amla, oranges, cantaloupes, grapefruit, guavas, litchis, strawberries, tomatoes, and cabbage) and vitamin E (found in almonds, avocados, and kiwi) neutralize toxins, fight infections, and keep you fighting fit.

3. Switch to green tea. Antioxidants are not restricted to fruits and veggies. The polyphenol ECGC, or epigallocatechin gallate, is a super antioxidant that is abundant in green tea. It rejuvenates dying skin cells, heals scrapes and bruises, removes blemishes, and protects against damage from sunlight.
4. Choose healthy oils. While fighting the flab, dont make the mistake of going off all fat. Monounsaturated fat in oils such as olive, canola, and flax seed, can actually help you stay lean and fit. Whats more, these oils help you absorb fat soluble carotenoids and vitamins that have an anti-aging effect on your skin.
5. Eat enough protein. Protein contains amino acids that are essential to build and repair your body cells. Eating an adequate amount of protein (about 120 gm daily) supports the growth of healthy skin, hair, and nails.
6. Shoot the sugar. Its official now, sugary foods are bad for your looks. This is because a rapid rise in blood sugar causes sugar molecules to bind themselves to the collagen, a kind of protein, in your skin. This process, known as glycation, makes skin hard and rigid, causing sagging and wrinkling.
7. Prevent sunburn. Get it right, sunlight is actually good for you. It provides vitamin D, helps absorb calcium and phosphorus, bolsters immunity, and relieves skin trouble. Its the extended exposure, especially to the overhead afternoon sun, that is harmful. This is because UV rays in sunlight break down collagen in the skin, making it rough and leathery, and causing wrinkles and premature aging. It also increases the risk of skin cancer. Protect skin against direct sunlight by covering all exposed areas or using a good sunscreen.
8. Use soap safely. Buy soap to match your skin type, such as dry, oily, normal or sensitive. Avoid soaps with high pH or acid content, as these can harm your skin. Also, herbal soaps are a gentler alternative to those containing chemicals. As a rule, use minimal soap to preserve the natural oils in your skin.
9. Look for retinoids. While buying cosmetic products, check labels for those containing retinoids. Derived from vitamin A, these compounds increase collagen production and cell regeneration in your skin, thus helping you stave off the effects of aging.
10. Lotion in bed. Apply moisturizers, creams, and lotions just before going to bed. Because your body temperature is slightly higher when you sleep, there will be better absorption of these products. As a bonus, the obstructing effect of sunlight will be absent.
11. Condition with care: Hair-conditioners tend to soften hair, so that it hangs flat and looks lifeless. One trick is to apply conditioner only on the outer tips of your hair. This way the lower portion of the hair retains its natural bounce.
12. Heal your hands. Your hands bear the brunt of the work you do. The result is discolored or hardened skin and chipped nails that make you look older. To keep your hands looking good, treat them with facial-care products such as creams and lotions. Occasionally, treat yourself to a manicure.
13. Pamper your feet. Feet, along with hands, are the neglected extremities of your body. Its important to keep them clean by scrubbing them daily with warm water and a brush. Using a pumice stone once a week will help to keep your feet smooth and soft.
14. Have a massage. An occasional massage offers immense physical and psychological benefits. It stimulates the skin, regulates blood pressure, purges toxins, and eases stiffness in the joints. In addition, it reduces stress and promotes relaxation, and makes you feel just great which in turn influences the way you look.
15. Go for yoga. The balancing, bending and stretching movements in yoga are excellent for improving physique, and toning muscles. Also, poses such as suryanamaskar and sirshasan increase blood flow towards the head, which helps to release stress and rejuvenates skin in the facial area.
16. Start jogging. Running helps you lose weight, keep fit, and fight off stress. The result is that you not only look, but also feel, much younger. And yes, the fresh air helps too.
17. Hit the gym. Vigorous exercises, such as aerobics or cardio, pump up your circulation and give your skin and face that healthy flush.
18. Keep smiling. Unbelievable but true. A simple smile lowers blood pressure, boosts immunity, and releases endorphins and serotonin that make you feel good. Plus, it is infectious, so that you set people around smiling back at you. Now thats reason enough to keep smiling.
19. Meditate daily. Meditation helps you connect with your inner self, calms you, cheers you up,and makes you feel tremendously good about yourself. The results are for all to see.
20. Enjoy good sleep. Adequate sleep is crucial for your body to perform functions of cell renewal and regeneration. Regularizing your patterns and sleeping early will ensure that you get the optimum eight hours sleep daily.

The summer time is ostensibly the time that the skin suffers the most damage. These damages done to the skin may be attributed to the harmful ultra violet rays that the sun generates. This is the time you need to give the skin maximum care and attention so that it continues to glow. Before you set out to take care of the skin, you need to know the composition of the skin so that you can understand its needs. The rays of the sun almost kill the healthy skin cells which results in the damage of the skin.

Though there are various external methods of protecting your skin, it is equally important for you to maintain your skin health through internal methods, for example consumption of foods good for skin especially during summer. Here are a few easy and effective suggestions that you can follow during the summer season to keep your skin safe from the sweltering heat.
• The best way to keep your health and skin safe from the harsh sun is to consume a lot of fresh fruits. They provide the required vitamins and minerals for the skin as well as the body and they work wonders especially during the summer.
• Some of the fruits that can help you tackle the summer heat are lemon, musk melon, water melons, sweet lemon, grapes, papaya and strawberries. All these fruits are rich sources of vitamins and minerals and help keep the body hydrated thus keeping the skin fresh and healthy too.
• Watermelons contain 90 percent of water and work best to not only to quench the thirst but also to give the body and skin the necessary hydration. The anti oxidants present in the water melons also do their part for the health of the skin.
• The different berries like the strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, etc contain a large amount of vitamin C which is an essential nutrient for the summer season. They are also low in calories and rich in antioxidants which help the skin stay healthy.
• Another one of the tips for healthy skin during the summer is to drink lots of water during the summer season as the skin loses its moisture and therefore the sheen. Atleast six to eight glasses of water is necessary everyday to regulate the functions of the body.
• Instead of eating the fruits you can extract the juice out of them and then drink them for a better effect.
• The green leafy vegetables that have a high content of water can also do the best for the summer season. Make sure you do not eat fried food items; instead you can steam the vegetables.

The secret of looking good is style. Today’s women are more cautious about their looks especially when they reach certain age like 40 plus. None of us, particularly women, want to feel that they are getting older. They want to keep their beautiful looks for ever.
Turning forty is a watershed to many of us. Wrinkles begin to appear and the odd grey hair start to pop up and you starts gaining weight while you are busy to bringing up your family and mot paying so much attention to yourself. You afraid of sagging muscle bulges and afraid of wrinkles showing their age. But do you really have to worry? As the old saying goes “Life begins at 40″. Of course not, there are few things you need to know and to work out on how to look good at 40 plus.
First thing is to realize and accept that aging is the process that we all have to go through. People at 40 are more interesting, confident and wise.

How to look good at 40 plus : Skin care at 40
(1) Create a sense of style. DO not wear clothes that you are used to wear when you were in your teens or 20s like min-skirts. Remember those funky dress are wear by young people to create their own style and you are on your 40s and you are already done.
(2) Skin care after forty – You need to follow some skin care routine like always remember to remove your makeup before going to bed, wash your face when you feel it something oily or after coming back from market. In addition apply homemade face pack. Here are few that can work:
(a) Paste of rice flour, tomato and grape juice
(b) Homemade white butter with turmeric.
(c) Use glycerin with rose water and lime juice.
Apply any of these on face and leave it for 15-20 minutes and wash with Luke warm water. Be careful if your skin is too sensitive for any of these.
(3) Most effective anti-aging tool is exercise. Add 30 minute exercise with healthy dose of vitamins and anti-oxidants nutrients in your diet like carrot, spinach, tomato etc.
(4) As we get older the grey hairs start to peep through and on some people it can look great but on the majority of us it is extremely ageing, so make sure that you choose a great color that will flatter your skin tone and not make you look drained. Initially I suggest consulting a good hairdresser about the shade.
(5) Use creams and lotion that contains antioxidants, Vit C & E, alpha lipolic acid and retinol. Antioxidants destroy rough molecules like free radicals and peptides and retinol stimulates collagen production.

Kiwi fruit, also known as “Chinese gooseberry” are very common in grocery market in recent years, is rich in many vitamins, minerals and falvonoids. Its high amount of Vitamin C, as much potassium as bananas, and a good amount of beta-carotene make it a healthy choice.

Urban Indian is the major part of growing groups of insomniacs. According to a survey done in 2009, 93% of urban Indians don’t sleep enough in night, 28% sleep merely for 5 hours and 71% wake up 3 times in night. Its debatable question that how much hours of sleep required by adult male? But still a peaceful sleep in night always required by our body so human brain and body clock work properly.

But in today’s scenario, where the competition is on high rise, prolonged working hours, work place tension, and eagerness to earn more money, makes our body a machine. We just forget to enjoy our life.
A sleep less night not just leaves our bright, young workforce drowsy during the day but also impairs their memory and cognitive skills.
There are many available in medical store to help you fall asleep and keep you alert to all day, but they are bundled with variety of side effects. However the popular class of smart drug knows as eugeroics. These emerging breeds of “alerting” and “wakefulness” pills are cognitive enhancer. Before you rush to your chemist shop, beware that these pills are made to cure sleep disorder like narcolepsy which gives excessive day time sleepiness.
So, what will be the best way to get rid of sleepless nights? That enhances your vigor and alertness too.
Just enhance your activity level. A small walk with 15 minutes of exercise can go a long way to boost your alertness throughout a day.
Pick any kind of aerobic activity like running, jogging, dancing, swimming etc which help in increasing the heart rate and flow of blood in your brain. Or for lazy people, just do some stretch exercise at home to energies yourself in the morning.
If you want you mind to be alert and crystal clear throughout the day just go for brisk walk or exercise in daytime. It helps you to breathe in deeper and gives the body an adequate supply of oxygen, which is essential for maintaining wakefulness.
Eating tip to make you alert and wake full through out a day:
Size matters so the size of meals also. Instead of taking three large meals, go for smaller meals combined with healthy snacks.
Start your day with a glass of water. If you want, you can add lemon and one teaspoon of honey to energies yourself.
If you feel lazy and lethargic all day, then eat breakfast that has protein and carbohydrate in equal amount. A bowl of oatmeal will work; that sustains energy level up to four hour and improves brain function.

Invest in yourself – maintaining a healthy lifestyle
Everyone wants to be rich, but wanting to be rich and working to become rich are two totally different things. Most people love the idea around being rich and being able to afford more than just to pay their bills. But most are unwilling to invest the most important asset when it comes to the subject of investing.

A Personal Investment
Your future is your best investment and if you are not taking the basic steps in managing the quality of your life, you may be missing the mark. Here are five areas where you can begin to invest in yourself:
1) Take time to rejuvenate
Don’t wait until you are run down and in bed with a fever to take care of yourself. Take the time to schedule activities you enjoy doing (e.g. reading a book, spending time with a favourite charity or a quite day at home). By doing this you will find that you have reserves of energy that you have not felt in years. Simply doing the things you love will give you a clear head to deal with everyday life issues. Making you a more productive and focused person.
2) Make your family top priority
When I was younger, my company sent me to a seminar with a well-known public speaker. I was very shocked when the first thing out of the speaker’s mouth was that your business or career should never be placed before your family. In reality, if you look at some of the biggest growth opportunities in life, they are shared with family and friends. So, turn off the television, put away the computer and share a few laughs with your family.
In regards to your children, by taking 15-20 minutes each day to be with your children, you are investing in their future relationships and building much need communication skills. The lessons they will learn from spending time with you is far more valuable than anything money can buy. Plus, you will walk away feeling the unconditional love only a child can give.
It is important to save and invest for your families future needs. By spending time with loved ones, you will be more in tune with what those needs are and how best to implement them in your Financial Portfolio.
3) Maintaining a healthy life style
To fully invest in yourself you need to maintain your health. Eating well, exercising and getting the proper amount of sleep are essential to your financial well-being. Studies show that when you are healthier, your finances go up. When you are maintaining the fundamentals of living healthy, you will notice a huge difference in your effectiveness, energy levels, happiness and how focused you are each day.
4) De-clutter your life
Managing your environment is a sure fire way to get focused and save money in life. If you find you are always searching for the BSNL, utilities or credit card statements, chances are you are paying late fees. By de-cluttering or getting rid of all those things you don’t use or need anymore, you will find you have more time and energy to focus on items that have some significance to you, your family and friends for instance. When your home is free of clutter, you and your children are able to give your full attention to office and school work. You may notice that you are sleeping more peacefully each night too, a good return on an investment.
5) Be your own boss
What I mean by being your own boss is to look beyond what you think is capable to the enormous potential that lies in your body and mind. Start setting goals that will have you stretch to new possibilities, both in your professional and personal life. What classes can you take that will have you be a better employee, more efficient or motivated? Get rid of old fears and habits and replace them with fresh ideas that will reward you with both satisfaction and financial gains.
Investing for a Lifetime
It is important to manage the right investment portfolio with a balance of mutual funds, insurances and ETFs, but the key investments are the ones you make in yourself and your family.

Heightened awareness about the two popular garden herbs – Amla and Aloe Vera – has greatly escalated their demand. Every household now has these important healthy essentials on the kitchen shelf. Thanks to Swami Ramee, most people have started to realize the significance, benefits, joys of medicinal plants and herbs and are switching to ways and means of healthy living. There’s no denying the fact that interest in herbal health supplements, Ayurveda, and preservation of biodiversity has increased globally.
The reason – they leave you so superbly free from diseases, increasing your immunity and being very gentle on your pocket.
Let us first talk of the Power House of Benefits – Amla. In the present era of increased pollution everywhere, we need to detoxify our body, promote metabolic functions, and regulate digestion. All these can be safely achieved by forming the habit of starting your day with a spoonful of Amla juice. It will also keep your skin radiating with energy and add a dark color and thick texture to your hair. Being a rich source of vitamin C, Amla helps reduce unwanted fat when taken in raw or natural form. This is prime reason of overweight people drifting toward the intake of multi- useful Amla. Consuming this natural product on daily basis reduces cholesterol and obstruction of the arteries, enabling us to fight obesity. All this in exchange for a tiny berry – isn’t the trouble worth taking?

Aloe Vera, the other natural healer, has also gained popularity because of its potent medicinal values. Several health conscious people have become quite fascinated with this almost mystical, plant. The extract from Aloe Vera leaves boosts your immune system for an energetic day’s start and acts as a powerful antioxidant, ridding your body of free radicals. It may also be useful in the treatment of wound, skin infections, burn healing, sebaceous cyst, elevated blood lipids, and diabetes.
So the next time you reach for a supplement for a disease free living, think twice and go for the trusted “Amla plus Aloe Vera” combination instead. The combo will take care of your health in the most cost-effective and natural way you can ever imagine!
